Generation of Healing Reaches 1.7 Million
Background
Crisis fatigue in Myanmar has led to deterioration of population mental health. Prolonged instability has increased unemployment, deprivation of basic healthcare and education. The lack of psychological safety net has contributed to rise in domestic violence, suicide and hate crimes, job racketeering scams, sexual harassment in public places.
GandaWin team talked to 250 people to come up with constructive solution to add value in people’s lives. The following statistic is a snapshot of how we fared delivering this initiative.

Generation of Healing (GoH)
Summary
Due to COVID-19 and 2021 Myanmar political upheaval, mental health in the country suffered. Unemployment, limited healthcare and education, and rising domestic violence and hate crimes added to the strain. In response, we initiated the “Generation of Healing (GoH)” program. Working with mental health professionals from Asia, Europe, and America to make mental wellbeing resources accessible to the population.
Challenges We Resolved
Generation of Healing Program: tailored to cultural needs of Myanmar people who are feeling lost as a repercussion of the political instability in the country.
- Compliance and Political Neutrality: To offer a safe and inclusive space for participants seeking healing, it was paramount for the GoH team to comply with media policy and political neutrality which was one of the defining factors in curating mental health professionals.
- Program Sustainability & Monetization: GoH was the first program for us where we brought together impact collaboration with NGOs, corporate training partnerships and individual coaching for those in need. Thus we not only sustained the program online but also created lasting in person offline training based on tools and techniques we put together for this program.
- Collaboration from three continents: Professionals from Asia, Europe & America collaborated despite the timezone challenges. The tight production timeline required small sacrifices in daily routine in order to bring the GoH program to life. Singular focus on the end goal of enhancing people’s lives positively kept us all going.
- Navigating User-Research Challenges: Conducting user-research presented unique challenges, as many individuals desired anonymity. The team had to devise a careful process to identify suitable participants who met the program's criteria while respecting their privacy and confidentiality.
Our Objectives
- Enhance Mental Wellbeing: Empower individuals with practical tools and techniques to manage crisis fatigue and boost their mental health.
- Create an Active Online Community: Our GoH campaign offers valuable tools and techniques. Let's encourage our engaged users to actively discuss and share their experiences on social platforms, supporting and learning from each other's application of these tools.
- Promote Mental Health Conversations: Encourage open discussions about mental health, normalizing the acceptance that it's okay to not be okay, and urging individuals to seek support when necessary.
- Focused Audience Engagement: Engage youth and women aged 18 to 50 in Myanmar and those displaced around the globe. The aim is to increase Mental Health awareness via short form contents and create social conversations.

Outcomes

Our team created a whole content calendar and repurposed the video contents into diverse formats such as Infographics, short video contents, articles, listicles, graphics series & short quotations.
The response we got from the audience was overwhelming. Statistics shared in the right.
